    Refused to delete account

    Date: Dec 11 2025

Summary: Bad , shady company. Unprofessional. They try to keep data and invade privacy. Ask irrelevant information so that you can not close account

Positive: I did not find any reason to use this website. Initially i registered it because of its domain name. It seemed legit. But its a crap

Negative: They refuse to delete accounts. When I asked to close mine, they said they would only "block" it and that the timeline for actual deletion is "uncertain." They also demand the exact date you created your account just to process the request, which nobody remembers. This service traps your data and likely violates EU privacy laws. Avoid at all costs.

No concern for privacy or data. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

    Date: Mar 17 2025

Summary: There is no reason to ever use mail.com, period. Tutamail and protonmail are free and better for security. Heck, even Gmail is more reliable, because you at least know they won't just randomly decide to delete your entire email inbox.

If you like to gamble with your personal data, and you don't care about having any privacy online, then maybe mail.com is for you! They do not allow you to use a VPN, or else your account will be permanently blocked. So in order to check your email, you are not allowed to have any sort of online privacy. This alone should be a HUGE red flag for anyone with internet literacy.

If a company blocks anyone who protects their identity with a VPN, STAY AWAY from them at all costs. Mail.com is "free", but that means you are the product. If they can delete your data at will, and they don't allow you to protect yourself online, one can only assume they intend to collect data from you without your consent.

Positive: Mail.com is the best email service if you are speedrunning getting your account banned without breaking any rules. My personal best is 2 seconds, and no other email provider has even come close!

Negative: They do not value privacy (you are not allowed to use a VPN or your email will be permanently blocked and deleted, even though this is mentioned nowhere in their terms of service OR in the sign-up process).

Your data is at their mercy. They can (and WILL) decide at random to just delete your account because of some arbitrary rule you broke that isn't listed anywhere on their website. Do not use mail.com for anything other than creating junk email accounts, because anything important can be deleted at any time with zero chance of recovery.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. If you send them a message to try to restore your account, you receive back a generic message saying "We can't tell you what rule you broke, but you're screwed. We take ourselves very seriously and so we refuse to provide the one service we offer. Have a nice day and gfys!"

    The person Mail.com screwed over

    Date: Feb 12 2025

Summary: Most horrible e-mail experience I ever had. I have not been able to access important accounts that I linked to them for years now. Hate is not a strong enough word to describe how I feel about mail.com. I absolutely abhor them. It should be against the law to do this to people. Poor is too good to rate them. My rating is not 1, it's negative infinity. They are the worst! DO NOT USE!

Positive: None. There is nothing positive. There is nothing good. They are terrible. Do not use this. They will hurt you & will not care.

Negative: Everything! Don't use this e-mail service. They are cold blooded. Deleted my account because I didn't sign in enough. Refused to help me. I have been locked out of Facebook & Amazon account for years because of them! Many others have the same experience. Do yourself a favor & just don't use them! Do not add them to anything important that you value. They do not care about you & I wish I never used Mail.com.

    Absolutely disgusting

    Date: Jun 14 2023

Summary: Blocked my account without any warning and will not allow me to access my saved data, emails, or contacts. This will now have a huge impact on my life and there are important documents that are lost forever, they refuse to do anything to help and after reading many reviews it seems they are doing this to hundreds and hundreds of users simply because they use the so called free service. Absolutely disgusting, if you value your data do not use Mail.com.

Positive: Everything was ok apart from being bombarded with endless ads simply because i chose not to pay for premium.

Negative: Suddenly blocked my account after many years and i have now lost hundreds of important contacts and endless amounts of saved data. They now ignore my emails and when they did respond it was pretty much tough luck.
